Frequently Asked Questions

TrackLab Engineer is an AI-powered race engineer for iRacing. It provides real-time telemetry overlays, voice coaching, self-learning setup recommendations, pit strategy optimization, hardware optimization, corner-level driving analysis, and post-session debriefs — all from a single desktop application.

TrackLab Engineer fully supports iRacing with 24 car classes and over 140 individually profiled cars — from GTP Hypercars and GT3 to Formula, Oval, NASCAR, Dirt, Rally, and many more. Each car has its own physics profile with class-specific sensitivity coefficients.

All 368 iRacing track configurations have real-time track maps. Additionally, 47+ tracks have deep corner-level intelligence with named corners, braking zones, and apex detection. The learning system continuously expands coverage as you drive.

You can try TrackLab Engineer for 3 days completely free. No credit card required — just enter your email on the Test Now page and you'll receive a trial license key. The trial gives you full Single Edition access.

Windows 10 or later (64-bit), iRacing installed and running, and an internet connection for license activation. TrackLab Engineer uses minimal system resources and does not impact your frame rate.

The AI continuously analyzes your telemetry — corner speeds, braking points, throttle application, tire temperatures, lateral G-forces, and more. It builds a personal driving profile and provides increasingly targeted recommendations for setup and technique. The system also aggregates anonymized community data to provide baseline comparisons.

The Pit Strategy Engineer calculates optimal pit windows using Bayesian inference and EMA smoothing. It analyzes fuel consumption trends, tire degradation (cliff detection), traffic patterns, BOP rules, weather conditions, and undercut/overcut scenarios. It evaluates multiple scenarios and recommends the best strategy with confidence ratings.

Your personal AI race engineer speaks to you during the race — F1-style radio messages for position changes, lap times, pit calls, fuel warnings, tire cliff alerts, weather changes, and proactive corner-approach coaching. Volume is adjustable and audio output device is selectable.

Select your wheelbase, steering wheel, and pedals from our database, and TrackLab Engineer recommends optimal FFB settings, brake force curves, and pedal calibrations tailored to your specific hardware and the car you're driving.

No. TrackLab Engineer runs as a separate application using signature-based rendering and throttled updates. Overlay refreshes skip unchanged content, and all network operations run on background threads. Your sim performance is not affected.

The Team subscription includes 10 licenses at the price of 8. The Team Chief registers the team, approves driver applications, and manages the roster. Each car can have independent stint plans and start times. Driver UIs within the same car sync live data automatically.

The Team Planner operates per-car: assign drivers to cars, set independent start times, and create separate stint plans. Drivers assigned to the same car share live telemetry data. The Team Chief has a full overview across all cars.

After purchasing a subscription, your license key is automatically generated and displayed in your portal. Copy it and enter it in the TrackLab Engineer desktop application to activate. Team drivers receive their key after the Team Chief approves them.

Yes. TrackLab Engineer checks for updates automatically on startup. When a new version is available, you'll be notified with a download link. The current version is v1.2.1.

You can upgrade your plan at any time through the portal. Your current plan remains active until its expiration date.

If you're not satisfied within the first 7 days of a new subscription, contact us at info@tracklab.gg for a full refund. After 7 days, subscriptions are non-refundable but remain active until expiration.

With your explicit opt-in consent, we collect anonymized aggregated telemetry data (average lap times, fuel consumption, corner metrics) to build a community database that benefits all users. No personal information, setup files, or account identifiers are ever collected.

Yes. We are fully GDPR/DSGVO compliant. Data collection is strictly opt-in, all data is anonymized before transmission, stored on EU servers (Supabase), and you can request deletion at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
